With all the news from the E3 Expo in LA, we have seen game announcements, upcoming console features and even console announcements. All these announcements has led to gaming sites scrambling to get all the announcements out across the internet to the gamers. This post should help you get all the annoucements that came out of LA.

The expo was kicked off by Microsoft. They announced over 10 new games for their console during their conference. Here's some of the game that you can expect to see being released in the near future:

Possibly the biggest console feature they announced was Project Natal. Natal is the next stage in gaming, controller free gaming where you will be able to use your body to navigate your way around your games. The 3D camera uses facial recognition to log you automatically into Xbox Live, voice activation to start video, games or chats just by saying so. And finally, a very new and interesting way to navigate your way through the Xbox 360 dashboard, by using your hand as a scroller. At this point, no release date has been announced by Microsoft from this great bit of console tech.

Later that day came the EA conference where they announced a series of game releases that included:

After EA came Ubisoft with some pretty big and awesome looking game announcements. These included the following:

  • Splinter Cell Conviction
  • Red Steel 2
  • No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
  • Avatar: The Game
  • Shaun White Snowboarding World Stage
  • Academy of Champions
  • Casual Games
  • Your Shape
  • Rabbids Go Home
  • TMNT: Turtles in time Re-shelled

That was all the excitement over for the first day of the expo, on the second day game another 2 console developers, Nintendo and Sony.

Nintendo started the day with some Wii and Dsi game and feature announcements. These included the following:

They also announced the vitality sensor which is a thumb grip, similar to the ones used in hospitals, to measure your pulse rate. They say that this new feature will be incorporated into a series of games that are designed to help you keep fit and relax.

It was a pretty short day conference wise, Sony was the second and the last conference of the day where they announced some great new games, some new tech that will be coming to the PS3 aswell as a brand new console announcement.

You can expect to see the following PS3 releases in the near future:

  • Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
  • Heavy Rain
  • Massive Action Game
  • Agent
  • Gran Turismo 5
  • God of War 3
  • The Last Guardian
  • Modnation Racing

As for hardware announcements, they announced that they are developing some technology similar to the Wii. This new piece of tech requires 2 controllers, very similar to the Wii, however this tech uses a camera like Project Natal. They plan to incorporate this brand new technology into as many games as they possibly can.

Sony's conference was ended with the announcement of the PSP Go, a new compact console. They announced that the new PSP Go will be a lighter and smaller version of the latest PSP. The new PSP Go will feature an internal memory system which will allow you to storage games on the flash drive rather than carrying discs around. It also contains an extra flash drive slot for some extra storage space aswell as WiFi and Bluetooth technology.

That was the end of all the conferences from the big publishers and console developers for this year, I'm pretty sure we'll be kept busy with all of that stuff until next years E3.
